The discerning reader will not fail to observe and appreciate the wide sweep and deep penetration of vision with which the Holy Prophet was gifted. Even a cursory perusal of this limited selection of Hadith would furnish valuable guidance to men and w_omen in all stations and spheres of life. An unbiassed mind overflows with admira tion when reminded that this treasury of wisdom was made available for the moral and spiritual uplift of mankind in the early part of the seventh century of the Christian Era, a period when over the greater part of the world, ancient wisdom had been almost forgotten through neglect and mankind was groping in the dark, yearning fN fresh light.
