72 MERCY My mercy encompasses all (7,156). Whoso forgives and effects reform thereby has his reward with Allah (42. 41). * * * The Holy Prophet (peace be on him) said : 1. The quality of compassion ,s not denied to any one except the unfortunate. 2. He who forgives though he has the power to exact retribution will be forgiven by Allah on the Day of Distress. • •
