Introduction xxxi ‘A Challenge to the Church’ Jesus died a natural death; his tomb found in India A leaflet, one hundred thousand in number has recently been dis- tributed in Greater London. The gist of the leaflet was that Jesus did not die on the cross, but escaped death and went to India and there died a natural death. His tomb in India has been discovered by Prophet Ahmad of Qadian, Punjab, India, in whose person the prophecy concerning the second advent of Jesus is fulfilled. Some newspapers have published a considerable account of it, followed by a lively correspondence, whilst another has produced the photograph of the tomb as well. Moreover, I have received a pile of letters, the senders of which have shown great interest and asked for further information. To these people my book, ? has been sent. In this book, I have discussed this question in detail and have proved in a manner which will cer- tainly convince the unbiased reader, that Jesus did not die on the cross, but died a natural death like other prophets of God. Many of the readers have thought it credible and have asked for further information. One wrote: ‘This statement seems to be quite feasible. ’ Another writes: ‘As an unorthodox Christian and seeker of truth your suggestion appeals to me since it backs up a personal belief ’, etc. Many of those who have read my book have found it most interesting and convincing. For instance, one, asking for other booklets, writes:
