Where Did Jesus Die? — Page 173
Chapter Eleven—Jesus Goes to India 173 Again, in the same book, we find a report from Abdullah ra son of Umar ra which runs as follows: The Holy Prophet (peace and the blessings of God be upon him) declared that the most favoured in the sight of Allah are the ‘ Gharib ’. Asked what was meant by Gharib , he answered: People like Jesus the Messiah who flee from their country with their faith. (vol. 2, p. 34, 71, and vol. 6, p. 51) These reports about Jesus as are not only ancient, but are found in the reliable books of Muslim Tradition. If Jesus as remained in Palestine all his life, then he cannot justifiably be called ‘The Chief of Travellers’. In view of these reports therefore, which have come to us from various independent sources, we have no option but to believe that Jesus as did flee from Palestine and wandered from country to country and, at last, reached India. Thus, he deserved the title ‘The Chief of Travellers’!
