A few passages of the Gospels such as ‘teach all nations’ in Matt. 28:19 which are set against the above saying of Jesus and his practice, are either additions by unknown persons or the word ‘nation’ means tribe and not nation (see Ency. Biblica). If the passage is connected with the second advent of Jesus, the prophecy has been fulfilled in the per- son of Ahmad (peace and the blessings of God be upon him), the founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement. I have written about this subject in my book, ‘Islam’. It was St. Paul who, contrary to the instructions of Jesus and the practice of his disciples, originated the idea of preaching to the Gentiles. It is beyond comprehension that Jesus himself and his companions who lived with him could not know the true mission of Jesus, and St. Paul, who never had the privilege of meeting or hearing him, should find the real mission for which he was sent. I do not think there can be anything more ridiculous than this. Jesus explicitly commanded his disciples: Go not into the way of the Gentiles. 1 But St. Paul, being annoyed with the Jews for their opposition, said: I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. 2 1.
