'Nubuwwat or the status of the ·Holy Prophet of Islam as Khatam al-Nabiyyin? ·. The Holy Quran lays down in dear· terms: 'Muhammad is ·not the father of any man among you, but he is a Messenger of God and Khatam al-Nabiyyin' (33 : 42). The· verse is unambiguous. It affirms that the Prophet had no male issue and was not destined to have one, but he was aMes- senger of God and Khatam al-Nabiyyin. (tssibly. -·. 'deny··· that the Holy Prophet ( on whom ~be. ··peace ) was Khatam al-Nabiyyin. The only difficulty or disagreement that remains is with regard to -the meaning of Khatam al- Nabiyyin·.
