hazardous journeys. Acquire knowledge even if it is from China. Knowledge is a treasure that is not perishable. It is essential to have a passion for knowledge. Longing for knowledge never ends and one with a thirst for knowledge can never be fully quenched. Gain knowledge wherever you find it and get your hands on it as if it is bounty from Allah. The Holy Prophet (saw) said: “Begin to acquire knowledge from the lap of your mother until you are buried in your grave. ” Hard work is a prerequisite for acquiring knowledge. It is also necessary to cultivate the habit of studying. To acquire knowledge it is a prerequisite to have the fear of Allah in your heart. In order to acquire knowledge, make it a habit to deliberate over various subjects. Do not treat insufficiency of knowledge in others with contempt or scorn. After acquisition of knowledge, spread the benefit amongst as many as you can. In this way knowledge does not diminish, but it increases. To gain knowledge it is necessary to proceed step by step.
