Qa‘dah 209 ‘the Glorious’ ( ٌ مَجِيد ), Allah Almighty has given us the hon- our and nobility ( ٌ مَجْد ) that comes with being the spiritual children of the Holy Prophet sas. In Dur ū d , when we pray that Allah Almighty exalt the renown and honour of the ‘people of Muhammad’ ( ٍ آل ِ مُحَمَّد ), we seek the exaltation of only that honour ( ٌ مَجْد ) which was transmitted to us by Hadrat Muhammad sas. When we pray for the exaltation of that honour ( ٌ مَجْد ), we seek blessings through the attribute of ‘the Glorious’ ( ٌ مَجِيد ).
