Qiyam 87 just be avoided, instead one should supplicate to Allah Almighty to achieve the exalted status of those who He has rewarded. This is to be found in the words, ‘Those who have not gone astray’. ( Tafs ī r-e-Kab ī r, vol. 1, pp. 9-10, English from At-Tafs ī r-ul-Kab ī r: The Grand Exegesis ) At the end of S ū rah al-F ā ti h ah , the worship- pers say Amin which means ‘O Allah! Accept our Supplications. ’. . . Thereafter, the Imam recites a por- tion of the Holy Quran. …The Imam may choose any portion of the Quran to recite after the S ū rah al-F ā ti h ah. When the Imam is reciting a portion of the Holy Quran, the worshippers are required to lis- ten to it silently. ( S al ā t-The Muslim Prayer Book, pp. 37,40)
