The Bible describes some disciples in particular who showed weakness in their faith at the time of trial. As Jesus as was sent specifically to the Israelites, he expressly instructed his disciples not to preach to anyone but the Israelites. He is reported to have said, ‘Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel [i. e. , the Israelites].
