PRAYERS 46 s al a t , my worship, my life and my death are for All a h , the Lord of the Universe. He has no partner. I am commanded to do this and I am from among the Muslims. O All a h , You are the Sovereign. There is none worthy of worship except You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged my soul and I confess my sins. Pray forgive all my sins, as there is no one else who can forgive. O All a h , guide me to high morals. There is none besides You who can lead me to good morals, and safeguard me from corrupt morals as there is no one who can safeguard me from bad morals except You. I am present here and it is my good fortune. All goodness is in Your control and evil cannot be attributed to You. I am with You and incline towards You. You are the Blessed and the Exalted One. I seek forgiveness from You and incline towards You. Hadrat Ab u Sa‘ i d Khudr i ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa used to recite this before S u rah Al-F a ti h ah: ْ ُْ ﺳُﺒﺤَﺎﻧَک َ اﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ و َ حبَِﻤ َ ﺪِک َ وَﺗَﺒَﺎرَک َ امس َ ک َ وَﺗَﻌَﺎىل ٰ ﺟَﺪُّک َ وَﻻ َ اِﻟªٰ 5َريُک. 59 Holy are You O All a h with Your attributes. Blessed is Your name. Exalted is Your Majesty. There is none worthy of worship except You. Ab u Hurairah ra asked the Holy Prophet sa "Why do you remain silent between Takb i r and the recitation of S u rah Al-F a ti h ah? What do you recite during this time"?
