PRAYERS 31 ِّ ْرَب ار ﺣﻤْ ﻤﺎ ِْﻛَﻤَﺎ ًْرَﺑَّﻴَﺎين ﺻَﻐِري ا. (Ban i Isr a’i l 17:25) My Lord, have mercy on them even as they nourished me in my childhood. 70. Prayer on Boarding a Boat At the time of the flood, Hadrat N uh as (Noah) prayed according to God’s instructions and his Ark anchored at Mount J u d i. The Holy Prophet sa used to say that this prayer would safeguard his followers boat from sinking. 33 ِ ِّٰﺑِﺴْﻢ ا ٰجمَْﺮٖﻳﻬَﺎ وَﻣُﺮْﺳ َّﻬَﺎ ِّْإِن ٌرَيب َّﻟَﻐَﻔُﻮر ْ ر ٌ ﺣِﻴ ﻢ. (H u d 11:42) In the name of All a h be its course and its mooring. My Lord is assuredly Most Forgiving, Merciful. 71. Another Prayer on Boarding a Boat God instructed Hadrat N uh as (Noah) to say: ُ ِِّْٰاحلَْﻤْﺪ َّٰاﻟَّﺬِي جن َﻨَﺎ ِﻣِﻦ ّٰاﻟْﻘَﻮْم َْ اﻟﻈ ﻠِﻤِني. ‘All praise belongs to All a h , who saved us from the cruel people. ’ (Al-Mu’min u n 23:29) Then this prayer should be recited which Hadrat ‘Al i ra also used to say upon entering a mosque,. 34 ِّ ِْرَب ًأَﻧْﺰِﻟْين َْﻻُُّﻣ َٰ ﻣ رب ًﺎLَّ َ و ُْأَﻧْﺖ َْﺧَري املُِْْﻟِني. (Al-Mu’min u n 23:30) My Lord, cause me to land a blessed landing, for You are the Best of those who bring men to land. 72. Prayer of Riding a Mount The Holy Prophet sa used to say these words three times َ ّٰﺳُﺒْﺤَﺎن َ اﻟﻠ ، اª َۡ ۡ حل ُ ﻤ ِﺪ ّٰ ﻟ َ ﻠ ،اª ّٰ َ ﻟﻠ اª ۡ َ ک رب and offer this prayer on riding a mount: ٰ َ ﺳُﺒْﺤ ْﻦ َاﻟَّﺬِي ﺳَﺨَّﺮ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﻫٰﺬَا وَﻣَﺎ ٗﻛُﻨَّﺎ َْﻟَﻪ ﻣُﻘْﺮِﻧِني ٰوَإِﻧَّﺎ إِىل ْرَﺑِّﻨَﺎ َ ملَُﻨْﻘَﻠِﺒُﻮ ن.
