66 means—was it Jesus as or some other Prophet, or was it our Chief and Master Muhammad sa —I regret to say that it is not possible for me, in this short article, to say how passionately I wish to present the luminous arguments, manifest signs, and historical testimonies with which I am eager to answer this question. But, if life permits, I will write a separate book on this subject. Now let me just briefly give the glad-tiding that the Perfect Man, who was ever ready to sacrifice him- self for his people and for all mankind, is none other than our Holy Prophet sa. 54 I have more or less explained the earthly difference between a true religion and a false one. In other words, I have written some of the points that can be decided through the use of reason and conscience. But there is another distinction dis- closed to us by heaven. It is also a very important distinction, and it is so important that it is not possible to dis- tinguish truth from falsehood without it. The distinction is that the true follower of a true religion enjoys a special rela- tionship with God, becomes a reflection of the Prophet he follows, and serves as a mirror for the latter’s spiritual pow- ers and blessings. Just as a grandson is also called son 54 Our Chief and Master, our most distinguished and peerless one, Ahmad, the elect, Muhammad, the Chosen one, the Unlettered Arab and Quraishite Prophet and Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
