of His love and hence they are able to discard an evil nature and achieve a pious one. Therefore, when the saints are called sons of God by the pious, it is meant in a figurative sense only otherwise God is far above having any sons and. He begets not, nor is He begotten. '45. These statements should therefore dispel any such contention that Hadhrat Ahmad as ever claimed to be the son of God. In fact, he stated quite clearly that he was a human being and had been commanded by: 'God Almighty: Say, I am only a human being like you all. '46.
