1906 929 common citizens of the State vis-a-vis the heir apparent of the Ruler. They had made every effort with respect to the problems with which they were confronted but had not succeeded. The only recourse now left to them was to submit a memorial to the Governor General and seek justice at his hands, but they had not much hope of success as the authorities below the Governor General had decided definitely against them. In his distress Navv a b Muhammad ‘Al i Kh a n not only requested me to supplicate on their behalf, but also promised that if God, by His grace, would deliver him from his distress, he would immediately donate three thousand rupees for the public kitchen. After repeated supplications on their behalf, I received the revelation: 1128 [Urdu] O sword, turn your face the other way. I informed Navv a b Muhammad ‘Al i Kh a n of this divine revelation and thereafter God Almighty had mercy on him.
