568 1902 Sayyed ‘Abdul-Q a dir Ji la n i, may Allah have mercy on him, has said: meaning ‘I have seen my Lord in the form of my father’. I too have seen Allah the Almighty in the form of my father. He [my father] was a man of impressive presence. He had seen the days of being an estate owner and therefore, he possessed great courage and high resolve. I saw him seated on a glorious throne and it was conveyed to me that he was God. The point of it is that as a father is deeply affectionate and compassionate and is most closely related, a vision of God Almighty, in the form of one’s father, is a manifestation of God’s favour, His closeness, and His deep love. That is why the Holy Qur’an says: 605 One of my revelations also says: 606 This vision is in the same meaning and spirit as the verse of the Qur’an I have just referred to.
