In the course of the supplication, God caused the following words to flow from my tongue: 298 These words were a converse from God Almighty and proceeded from Him alone. [Letter quoted above, Makt u b a t-e-Ahmadiyyah, vol. 5, no, 2, pp. 121–123] Note by Maul ana Abdul Latif Bahawalpuri: Hadrat Maul a n a Ya‘q u b ‘Al i ‘Irf a n i ra , in explaining the background of this flagrant order, says: ‘Opponents of Hadrat H ak i mul-Ummat ra and Maulav i Mu h arram ‘Al i Chisht i charged them with a political conspiracy. Raja Amar Singh loved Hadrat H ak i mul-Ummat ra and he was very deeply in love with the quality of his daily life and truthfulness. He was a young man of astute sense and keen judgment. The group that knew Ma haraj a Part a p Singh and controlled him suspected that Mah a r a ja Part a p Singh would be deposed and Mah a r a ja Amar Singh would replace him. This was a political move and struggle for power. But it was given a religious colour and it was alleged that when Mah a r a ja Amar Singh assumes power, Maulav i [ N u r-ud-D i n] would convert him to Islam. With this kind of plot, Maulav i [N u r-ud-D i n] and Maulav i Mu h arram ‘Al i were ordered to leave Jammu. He informed the Promised Messiah as. The Promised Messiah’s as letter… was in response.
