1078 1904 Sheikh Khair-ud-D i n 1278 narrated that: When the case of Karam D i n was pending before Chand u L a l Magistrate, the Promised Messiah as said: I do not see Chand u L a l 1279 occupying the Magistrate’s chair. [al- H akam, vol, no. 38, no. 25, July 14, 1935, p. 4 and Register Riw a y a t-e- S a ha bah, vol. 9, pp. 58–59] May 1904 Hadrat Maulav i Sher ‘Al i ra has narrated care of Maulav i Muhammad ‘Abdull a h Bot a law i that: Q adi D ia-ud-D i n of Kot Q adi …wrote very humbly to the Promised Messiah as requesting him for prayers…. The Promised Messiah as supplicated on his behalf after the receipt of his letter and at night received the revelation: [Urdu] The poor man has died. 1278 Note by Hadrat Maul ana Jalal-ud-Din Shams ra : He was from Ludhiana and was a cobbler by profession. He used to make shoes for the Promised Messiah as. He stated that he stayed with the Promised Messiah as in Gurdaspur during Karam D i n’s trial. 1279 Note by Hadrat Maul ana Jalal-ud-Din Shams ra : Once some non- Ahmad i s said: Chand u L a l Magistrate intends to imprison you. The Promised Messiah as was lying on a mat, he arose and said: I do not see Chand u L a l occupying his seat. He was demoted from his post and transferred to Multan and then went to Ludhiana on pension. Finally, he went insane and died in that condition.
