182 Thus the Ka’abah was restored to its true purpose, the worship of the one God. The Prophet saw then sent for the leaders of the Quraish and asked them what treatment they expected from him. ‘The treat- ment that Joseph accorded to his brethren’, they replied. The Holy Prophet saw said, ‘Then no reproach shall lie on you this day’. This noble treatment by the Holy Prophet saw of his blood- thirsty enemies, who had left no stone unturned to kill him and destroy Islam root and branch, stands in history of mankind unparalleled.
