The Poisoned Meat Once a Jewish woman inquired from the Companions of the Holy Prophet saw, ‘What meat does the Holy Prophet fancy?’ She was told that he preferred a shoulder of lamb or goat. She slaughtered a goat, cut it into small pieces and roasted them. Then she rubbed some deadly poison into them and took this meat to the Holy Prophet saw. The Holy Prophet saw was coming back from the mosque after the evening Prayer, when he saw a woman standing in the dark with something in her hand. He approached her and asked, ‘Is there anything I can do for you?’ The woman replied, ‘I have brought some roasted meat for you. I am sure you will be kind enough to accept it’.
