A Sign of Allah 19 been very clearly established that it is impossible for anyone to first follow in the footsteps of the Holy Prophet s as and then surpass him s as. Nonetheless, this does not come as a prohibition but as an invitation. The designation of the Holy Prophet’s s as status as being the pinnacle of spiritual height is not used to cause despair but rather it is used as an open invitation and a source of motivation. As for all those spirit - ually junior to the rank of the Holy Prophet s as , the possibility of following in their ways and then excelling beyond them even exists. Thus, the followers of the Holy Prophet s as are given the glad tidings that if even the greatness of the Holy Prophet s as is not restricting you from excelling and striving on the paths of righteousness, then how can you perceive his meek and humble servants to have reached ranks that are now unachievable? How can you despair and say that so and so has reached such spiritual heights that we are unable to exceed them? The Holy Quran states that this is a wide- open pathway and as far as becoming kalim a t is concerned, the Holy Prophet s as did not come to create just a few. He was not such a personality who would be limited to only leaving behind a few kalim a t or just the Ashra Mubashra 1. The abil - ity bestowed on the Holy Prophet s as to be able to produce kalim a t is endless and can be benefited from as long as you continue to fulfill your rights concerning it. 1.
