from heaven to reform mankind, with him invariably descend such angels as sow the seed of guidance in receptive hearts. They make them inclined towards goodness. They keep on descending until the darkness of ignorance and infidelity is dispelled by the dawn of a new day of faith and righteousness. The Holy Quran speaks of this in the verses:'Therein descend angels and the Spirit by the command of their Lord with decrees of their Lord concerning every matter. It is all peace, till the break of dawn'. (97:5 6) The descent of the angels and the Holy Spirit takes place when a man of outstanding qualities wearing the robe of vicegerency of God, having been blessed with Word of God, descends to earth.
