PREFACE Islam is a great religion. The secret of its greatness lies in the complete and perfect teachings of the Holy Qur'an and in the fact that the Founder of Islam, the Holy Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, practiced these teachings to the fullest extent. He thus became a perfect and living example of what he taught. The deep and unbreakable relationship between his practice and teachings left an idelible impression on his Companions. After his death, when his wife Ayesha was asked about the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad , peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, her answer was: Ò ø ^ á ø ì ö ×ö Ï ö ä ü ] Ö» Ï ö † »  á ó ó His life was the Qur'an ÷ ÷. There was no contradiction between his word and the Word of God. His revelation was pure, without the least reflection of his personal desires. The Holy Qur'an bears this testimony about him: æ ø Ú ø ^ mø ß» _ ô Ð ö  ø à ô ] Ö» ã ø ç F p ]ô á » â ö ç ø ]ô Ÿ $ æ ø u » ± º mö ç » u o F "He does not say anything from his own self; all his sayings are in accordance with Divine revelation. " (CH. 53: Al-Najm 4-5) No wonder then that he is presented in the Holy Qur'an as a perfect model for the whole of mankind and for all times to come. God Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an: Öø Ó ö Ü Êô ± » … ø ‰ ö ç » Ù ô ] Ö × # ä ô œö ‰ » ç ø é º u ø Š ø ßø è º "For you there is a noble example in the Prophet of God. " (CH. 33 Al-Ahzab: 22) v
