The Holy Prophet replied: '"Offering the prayers at the appointed time. ' I enquired, 'And after this?' He replied, 'Being kind to parents. ' I asked, 'Which deed after this?' He answered, 'Striving in the path of Allah. ' (Bukhari) 29. Amar bin Shuaib, God be pleased with him, heard from his father on the authority of his grandfather that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Advise your children to perform the prayers when they reach the age of seven.
