the man to be such that it would bum the sin. It should be remembered that one can never do appropriate deeds unless one has sincere faith in God and a great sense of realisation. Every deed becomes appropriate if it is done with the full understanding of the attributes of God. The appropriate deeds of the people, their giving of charity etc. is an act of tradition- alism and a matter of habit; they do not do so because they possess God-realisation which is based on a strong faith in God. Since the generality of the people do good ceeds just by way of habit and they are far away from the real understanding of God, the prophets are raised to make the people realise the significance of faith in God; all other things are a logical result of this faith. That is why it can be said that the real object of the advent of the prophets is that they should inform the people of the aim of their life-worship of God-and produce in them the kind of faith which would· give them the understanding of God. (Malfoozat Vol. III! p. 303) LONG LIFE God says in the Holy Quran: Ma yanfa-unnaso fa yamkoso fil arz and it is a fact that whoever is beneficial to the world, lives longer. S0me people have raised an objection to the effect that the Holy Prophet, sallallaho alaihi wa salla1n 's, life was short. The objection does not hold good, the reason being that the Holy Prophet had achieved the aim of life. He came to the world at a time when the world n&turally stood in need of a Reformer and passed away from this world when he had achieved total success in the work of his Messengership.
