75 Witness No. 135 (Called by Majlis-i-Amal, continued):- Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Head of the Ahmadiyya Community at Rabwah, on solemn affirmation, continued:- To Maulana Murtaza Ahmad Khan Maikash, on behalf of Majlis- i-Amal:- Q. It is the unanimous belief of the Muslims that before the Day of Resurrection Isa Ibn-i-Maryam (Jesus of Nazareth) will reappear. What is your belief on this point? A. You are wrong in asserting that it is the unanimous belief of the Muslims. There is a section among them who believe that Jesus of Nazareth died a normal physical death. Our belief is that Isa Abn-i-Maryam will not reappear, but that another man answering to his description and possessing his attributes will appear. To Court:- Q. Were the jews in the time of jesus of Nazareth waiting for a Messiah? A. Yes, they were waiting for a Messiah, but he was to be preceded by Elias who was to descend from Heaven in his physical form. Q. Was that Messiah the same as the jesus of Nazareth? A. Yes, according to our belief, but not according to the belief of the jews. Q. Had Jesus of Nazareth ever claimed to be the promised Messiah? A. Yes. Q. The jews presented the idea of a trading GOD whom they held in monopoly in view of the promise made by GOD to Abraham to restore to them the land of Canaan.
