Reply to the Second Question 21 Whatever of wealth you spend should be for parents and relatives and orphans and the poor and wayfarers. The Third INQUIRY— S u rah al-Baqarah, 2:218— َكَنْوُلَٔـْسَي ِنَع ِرْهَّشلا ِماَرَحْلا They ask you concerning the Sacred Month as to what is the commandment regarding fighting therein. The reply given is: S u rah al-Baqarah, 2:218— ْلُق ٌلاَتِق ِهْيِف ٌرْيِبَك١ؕ َو ٌّدَص ْنَع ِلْيِبَس ِهّٰللا Respond to them that fighting in this month is an evil act, and it necessarily results in interfering in worship like H ajj and ‘Umrah. The fourth INQUIRY— S u rah al-Baqarah, 2:220— َكَنْوُلَٔـْسَي ِنَع ِرْمَخْلا َو ِرِسْيَمْلا They ask you concerning wine and gambling. The response given is to tell them: S u rah al-Baqarah, 2:220— ۤاَمِهْيِف ٌمْثِا ٌرْيِبَك Drinking [wine] and gambling are a grave and evil sin. The fifth INQUIRY— S u rah al-Baqarah, 2:220— َكَنْوُلَٔـْسَي اَم اَذ َنْوُقِفْنُي They ask what should be spent.
