Foreword In 1891, a Christian by the name of Abdullah James posed three questions about the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and bless- ings of Allah be upon him, and invited Anjuman H im a yat-e- Islam to furnish replies to those questions. The Anjuman sub- mitted these questions to Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as, the Promised Messiah, and two other accomplished scholars: Hadrat Maulaw i Hakeem Noor-ud-Deen ra and Maulaw i Ghulam Nabi of Amritsar. The Anjuman published all three replies to these questions in 1892 under the title Eik ‘Is a ’ i kei T i n Saw a l aur unkei Jaw a b a t. In that original seventy-two-page publication, forty-seven pages documented the response of the Promised Messiah as, nineteen pages covered the reply by Hadrat Maul a n a Hakeem Noor-ud- Deen ra, while Maulaw i Ghulam Nabi’s response occupied the last five pages.
