Response to the booklet entitled Ilh a m i Girgit 61 Prophet of Allah said: ‘I am the missing brick. I am the Seal of Prophets. ’ ( S a hih al-Bukh a ri, Kit a bul-A n biy a’ , ch. Kh a tamun-Nabiyy i n, Hadith 3535) In this hadith, the Prophet s as of Allah likens himself to the most beautiful brick of the most beautiful palace. If Maulaw i Sahib believes that human beings cannot be likened to buildings, what does he have to say about the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as com- paring himself first to a most beautiful palace and then to the most beautiful brick of that palace. Before attacking Hadrat Mirza Sahib, Maulaw i Sahib should consider who in fact ends up bearing the brunt of his attacks. And if Maulaw i Sahib objects to Hadrat Mirza Sahib call- ing himself the ‘House of Allah’, this objection has already been refuted by our beloved Master, Hadrat Muhammad Mu st af a s as. Here, he is telling us that the use of this simile is not only permis- sible but also shows the high spiritual status of the person con- cerned. Addressing Hadrat Ali ra, the Holy Prophet s as once said: ِ َا عَلِی ُّ اَنْت َ بِمَنْزِلَۃ ِ الْكَعْبَۃ ي ‘Al i , you are like the Ka‘bah. ( Al-Firdous bi-Ma’th u ril-Kh- it a bi, Abu Shuj a ‘ Sh i rwai h bin Sha h rdar ad-Dailam i , vol. 5, p. 315, Hadith 8300, D a rul-Kutub al-‘Ilmiyyah, Beirut, 2010. )
