46 ُ ْن َ لَہ ي ِ َاء ِ تَابِع ي َاء ِ وَالَْوْلِ ي ْع ُ الَْنْبِ ي ِ ْقَۃ ِ تَكُوْن ُ جَم ي ِ ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص و َ فِی الْمَعَارِف ِ وَالْعُلُوْم ِ وَالْحَق ْہ ِ السَّلَمُ. ي کُلُّھُمْ. . . لَِن َّ بَاطِنَہ ُ بَاطِن ُ مُحَمَّد ٍ عَلَ The Imam Mahdi who will appear in the latter days will follow the Shariah of Muhammad s as. This means that in knowledge and in understanding, all the Prophets and saints will be subordinate to him… because spiritually he will be completely submissive to Muhammad s as. ( Shar h u Fu sus il- H ikam , Sheikh ‘Abdur-Razz a q al-Q a sh a n i , p. 35, al-Ma t ba‘atul-Maimaniyyah, Egypt) We believe that Hadrat Mirza Sahib is the same Imam Mahdi whose advent was foretold by the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as. Therefore he holds the rank granted to him by the Holy Prophet s as , and which was further explained by saints of previous eras. Last of all, we inquire of Maulaw i Sahib: Did he not attempt to make this an emotional issue for the purpose of creating disor- der? Would he also please enlighten us as to: 1. Which verse of the Quran states that Imam Husain ra ranks higher than the Prophets? 2. Which hadith quotes the Holy Prophet s as as saying that Imam Husain ra is higher in rank than the Prophets? 3. Whether or not Imam Husain ra ranked himself higher than the Prophets? 4. Whether any of the Imams from Ahl-e-Bayt (i. e. the family of the Prophet Muhammad s as ) ever made such a claim on behalf of Hadrat Imam Husain ra?
