10 َ مِنْهَا مَا حَفِظْنَا فَقَال َ أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، وأَحْمَدُ، والْمُقَفّٰي، والْحَاشِرُ، ونَبِي ُّ الرَّحْمَةِ، قَال يَزِيْدُ، ونَبِي ُّ التَّوْبَة ِ و نَبِي ُّ الْمَلْحَمَةِ. Hadrat Abu M u sa al-Ash‘ari says that the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, informed us of some of his names. Those among them that we remem- ber are that he said: I am Muhammad , Ahmad, al-Muqa- ffa [well-compo sed—i. e. created in the perfect mode ] , al- Ha shir [the Gatherer], An-Nab i yyur-Ra h mah [The Prophet of Mercy], An-Nabiyyut-Taubah [The Prophet of Repentance] and An-Nabiyyul-Mal h amah [the Prophet who is made to fight bloody battles]. Shaf i ‘ (Intercessor) These names are mentioned in the following hadith: ِ هللا ُ عَلَيْه ِ وَسَلَّم َ أَنَا سَيِّد ُ وَلَد ِ آدَم َ يَوْم َ الْقِيَامَة ی َّ عَن ْ أَبِي ْ سَعِيْدٍ، قَال َ قَال َ رَسُول ُ هللا ِ صَل وَل َ فَخْر…َوَأَنَا أَوَّل ُ شَافِع ٍ يَوْم َ الْقِيَامَة ِ وَل َ فَخْرَ.
