Response to the booklet entitled Ilh a m i Girgit 107 would be sheer blasphemy to say so; for, God is Holy and has no sons. ( Haqiqatul-Wahi , Ru ha n i Khaz a ’in, vol. 22, p. 581–582; English ed. 2018, p. 728) Maulaw i Sahib! We realise that you are helpless as you are inca- pable of comprehending such issues. Many Suf i s, saints and dev- otees of Allah have recounted similar experiences. When a devo- tee seeking nearness to Allah and sets out on the journey towards Him, there comes a time when he feels as though he has become a woman. We quote here from Syed ‘Abdul Q a dir Jilani rta: تكشف البرقع و القناع. . عن و جهك ل The burq a and the veil shall not be lifted… from your face. ( Fut uh ul Gha’ib, Shar h Fars i , ‘Abdul- H aq Dehlav i , p. 119, Article 26, Ma t ba‘ Muhammad i , Lahore) Explaining this, ‘Abdul-Haq Mu h addith Dehlav i wrote: ربعق و انقع ہک از ابلس اسنءتس ااشرتست آبہکن رمد ات وہظر امکل و ز عبی ت در د یای ق رباہن وتحی د مکح زانن وارد و دوعے رمدایگن از وے درتس ی حق ت The burqa and the veil are female modes of dress. This indicates that until man is perfected he is like a woman, and while he is still like a woman it is not right that he should make a claim to manliness. ( Fut uh ul Gha’ib, Shar h Fars i , ‘Abdul- H aq Dehlavi, p. 119, Article 26, Ma t ba‘ Muhammad i , Lahore)
