Response to the booklet entitled Ilh a m i Girgit 5 asked, ‘What is the Throne of God?’, replied: ‘It is I;’ when asked, ‘What is the tablet and the pen [with which the decrees of God are written]?’, replied, ‘It is I;’ when asked, ‘Who are these men of God—Ibr a h i m, M u s a , and Muhammad [may peace and bless- ings be on them]?’, replied, ‘They are all I;’ when asked, ‘Is it true that Jibr a ’ i l, M i k a’i l, Isr a f i l, and ‘Izr a’i l [may peace be on them] are all servants of the Great and Glorious God?’, replied, ‘They are all I’ ( Tadhkiratul-Auliy a ’, Urdu, Sheikh Far i d-ud-D i n ‘A tta r, pp. 146–147, published by D i n Muhammadi Press, Lahore). And what name will Maulaw i Sahib assign to Hadrat Sh a h Wali yy ull a h Mu h addith Dehlav i , who claimed that: یم اامسء رمدم را نم وبدم وآہچن رب ونح وطافن دش و ببس رصنۃ او دش نم وبدم عل� ت � را نم ت ٰی م�ی� ع�یس ٰی نم وبدم اح�ی�اء س وم ت یم را زلگار تشگ نم وبدم وتر�ی� �ہ� آہچن اربا. � ی� م� ل ٰی نم وبدم وادمحل ہّٰلل رب ااعل مصطف وبدم رقن I was found in the teachings of names [given to Hadrat A dam as] and I was the succour that came at the time of N uh ’s deluge; it was I who turned the fire of Ibr a h i m as into flowers, I was the Torah of M u s a as. I was the one who revived the dead at the time of ‘ I s a as and I was the Quran of Muhammad s as. And all praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.
