Response to the booklet entitled Ilh a m i Girgit 95 Do you see the water that you drink? ( Sūrah al-W a qiah, v. 69) Maulaw i Sahib! You reject the meaning given by Hadrat Mirza Sahib—a sound and pure meaning. We do not know which lexi- con you consulted before you made your nonsensical claim. But you did not even stop to think that the Holy Quran supports Hadrat Mirza Sahib’s translation. The Holy Quran demolishes the false and filthy-minded people and their arguments. ٌقِهاَز َوُہ ْلَب ُفِذْقَن ِّقَحْلاِب ىَلَع ِلِطاَبْلا ٗهُغَمْدَيَف اَذِاَف We hurl the truth at falsehood and it breaks its head, and lo, it perishes. ( Sūrah al-Anbiy a ’, v. 19) Maulaw i Sahib! Read the following verse with some modesty: ْمُكِبْوُلُق َو َتِّبَثُي ِهِب َماَدْقَاْلاَو ُلِّزَنُي ْمُكْيَلَع َنِّم ِءٓاَمَّسلا ًءٓاَم ْمُكَرِّهَطُيِّل۠ ٖهِب َو َبِهْذُي ْمُكْنَع َزْجِر ِنٰطْيَّشلا َو َطِبْرَيِل ىٰلَع And He sent down water upon you from the clouds, that thereby He might purify you, and remove from you the filth of Satan, and that He might strengthen your hearts and make your steps firm therewith. (Sūrah al-Anf a l, v. 12) Now tell us the meaning of ماء (water) in this verse. Is it any differ- ent to the one given by Hadrat Mirza Sahib in Anj a m-e- A tham?
