SIRRUL-KHILAFAH— 26 Then, in praise of the Companions of the Seal of the Prophets, Allah, the Lord of Glory and Majesty, says: Observe how Allah denounces as disbelievers all those who har- bour animosity towards a believer, and how His wrath falls upon them. Fear Allah who, for the sake of the Companions, causes the disbelievers to burn with rage. Ponder over these and other related verses; perchance, Allah will enable you to become among those who are rightly guided. The Shiites who think that a s - S idd i q [ Hadrat Ab u Bakr ra] and al-F a r u q [ Hadrat ‘Umar ra] violated the rights of al-Murta da [ Hadrat ‘Al i ra] and Az-Zahr a [ Hadrat F at imah ra] and oppressed them, have in fact renounced fairness and embraced injustice and taken the approach of the wrongdoers; for, these were the people who left their homes, friends, wealth, and properties for the sake of Allah and His Messenger. They were persecuted by the disbelievers 1. Muhammad s as is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are firm against the non-believers, tender among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating themselves in Prayer, seeking grace from Allah and His pleasure. Their mark is upon their faces, being the trac- es of prostrations. This is their description in the Torah. And their de- scription in the Gospel is like unto a seed-produce that sends forth its sprout, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and stands firm on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may cause the disbelievers to burn with rage at the sight of them ( S u rah al-Fat’ h , 48:30).
