SIRRUL-KHILAFAH— 190 ۡ دَقَائِقَنَا وَانۡظُر ۡ مَعَارِفَنَا ِاُنۡظُر فَعَاف ِ کَرَمًا اِن ۡ اَخۡلَلۡت ُ بِالَۡدَب Look at my knowledge and my insight, and out of compassion Overlook anything I have said that you might deem discourteous. ٍ ِ مِلَّۃ ۡ لِتَجۡدِیۡد ی ِّ ۡ رَب ِوَاَعَانَنِی وَاِن ۡ لَّم ۡ یُعِن ۡ فَمَن ۡ یَّنۡجُو ۡ مِن َ الۡعَطَب My Lord has helped me to reform His religion; If His Help does not come, who can be saved from destruction? ٍ ً مَّا قُلۡت ُ مِن ۡ نَّظۡم ال ِ ِوَقُلۡت ُ مُرۡتَج وَقَلَمِی ۡ مُسۡتَھِل ُّ الۡقَطۡر ِ کَالسُّحُب I have composed this poem spontaneously; The words flow out of my pen like rain falling from the clouds. ٌ ِ مَنَّان ٌ ذُوالۡمَجۡد خَالِق لَنَا ِوَکَفَا فَمَالَنَا فِی ۡ رِیَاض ِ الۡخَلۡق ِ مِن ۡ اَرَب Our Creator, the Lord of Glory, the Benefactor, is sufficient for us; We have no need for the gardens of His creatures. ٍ ٰذَا النَّظۡم ُ مُلَح ٍ وَّمِن ۡ نُّخَب ه َ ِ وَقَد ۡ جَمَع ِ النُّجُب وَنُجُوۡمِہ دِنَا ِّ ِ سَی بِیُمۡن This poem combines beauty with the finest words Because of the grace of our Master and his Noble Stars [his Companions]. ی بِاَرۡض ٍ قَد ۡ عَلَت ۡ نَار ُ فِتۡنَتِها ِّ ِوَاِن وَالۡفِتَن ُ تَجۡرِی ۡ عَلَیۡها جَرۡی َ مُنۡسَرِب I am in a land where the fire of mischief blazes, And where afflictions flow like running water.
