75. LESSON 25. Mergence of a letter into its following 1: quiescent nun or nun of nunation followed by any of the six letters do. ي و is inserted into the following letters. . This insertion is called in Arabic 'idghām ES and it is of three kinds. (a) Imperfect insertion, (b) Perfect insertion tāmm idgham nāqis idgham إِدْغَام تام (c) Insertion of nun into the following (a) imperfect insertion: quiescent nun or 1. nunation followed by, is inserted into become double and ي و consequently ي و doubled form is shown by putting tashdiid ✓ on it so nafsin-wama نَفْسِ - وَمَا nafsinwwama نَفْسِ وَمَا becomes man-yagalu مَنْ يَقُولُ مَن يَقُولُ becomes manyyaqūlu. Thus nun is inserted into the followings, but its nasal sound is not omitted, it exists and uttered rather long. . That's why sign ▲ is given under nun. This
