62 THE THIRD ARGUMENT BY THE ULEMA Now I will discuss some of those verses from the Holy Qur’an that were presented in the proceedings of the Federal Sharia Court, which were used by the ulema, during the proceedings of the Court, as allegedly providing the basis for the deduction that the apostasy is punishable by death.
