12 "Whoever observes Prayer in the same way as we do, and declares our qibla to be his qibla [i. e. , faces the same direction in Prayer as we do]; one who eats from our dhab ih a [i. e. , the meat of our slaughtered animals] such a one is a Muslim. To protect such a person is a matter of obligation for God and His Messenger. So, [O ye Muslims!] make sure that you do not violate the obligation from God. " 6 What a magnificent, how clear, and how beautiful is this definition! Now, look at how the ulema in Pakistan are today showing the audacity to formulate a definition that is diametrically opposite to the above definition. In this day and age, hundreds of Ahmad i s have been persecuted, jailed, and the ulema have issued openly provocative fatwas to murder them. They have proclaimed that the Ahmad i s observe Prayers like us and in so doing they face the same qibla as we do, and they eat from the dhab ih a like we do.
