157 H A D RAT N UH AS WAS ACCUSED OF BECOMING AN APOSTATE: Thus the Qur’an tells us about Hadrat N uh as that his people accused him of apostasy and that he was attempting others to change their religion, and – "They said, 'If you desist not, O Noah, thou shalt surely be one of those who are stoned. '" 152 They warned him with unanimity that if he did not desist, if he did not repent from his apostasy and did not cease to make others apostates, they were certain he would be stoned to death. Therefore, if the ulema of Quetta have given the verdict that Ahmad i s are apostates, and they have declared them out of Islam against their [ Ahmad i 's ] wishes and announced that their punishment is stoning to death—that they should be put in the ground and then stoned to death—then this is not a new claim. Earlier, the opponents of Hadrat N uh as had made exactly the same claim. 152 The Holy Qur’an 26:117. [Publisher]
