An Ode by Maulawi Abdullah of Kashmir 45 اپک زدان غ �ی� ا � ہ ی رباماس� وگرٹنمن تسہ ِ اناکبر اظاملن دہع رکد د اب�ی� �ی�اد This Government is like a merciful shadow of the Holy God, And we must never forget the reign of the evil tyrants. رہہک وارد دہع اھکسں ملظ اواشں دررظن امشر ےب ا م�ہ� ت مس� ہ � وجرو ددن ز م�یک� اتہچ Whoever witnessed the Sikh rule remembers their tyranny; They had committed countless atrocities. آےتف رباپ یمہ دش ازےئپ ابگن امنز ازےئپ �یک اگؤ رمدم راوسب زدنے انبر They were prone to create havoc just upon hearing the call for prayers; And to annihilate hundreds of people in retaliation of the slaughter of a single cow. �ی� ا ےبش اتر�یک وبد غ از ملظت اہےئ اشں د� ابر ونر ابداشہ علطم ز آدم اناہگں The world was like a dark night because of their wrongs, Then, all of a sudden, the radiant king made his appearance. ابمرک تنطلس وچں اس�یہء ربامدنگف � ی � ا ل املثم اہنر ی ل� اناہگں از فطل قح دش As this auspicious Empire extended its benign rule over us, At once, our night transformed into day by the grace of God. م�ہ�ی� ا انم و دوتل از ووجد تنطلس دش ز آدم وسہشار غ �ی� غ یم�اں ز ابال � � از ےئپ ا Thanks to this Empire, peace and prosperity have been secured, And for the sake of the Faith, a champion has descended from heaven. آں دخاودنش ےئپ اامتم تجح از امس ِ آدبار غ � ی � ت � ز غ �ی� غ � اعمرف از ےجنگ داد To clinch the argument, his God has bestowed upon him A treasure of truth and a shining sword from heaven.
