127 HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD AS yearning to return to his native country and be reunited with his son. He continues to hoard his wealth in his sack and the features of his happy face shine bright from this. Thus, his success is made a trial for him and he is given an abundance of everything. And so the way of finding true guidance becomes hidden from him and his wretchedness drives him towards ignorance and disobedience. He entertains the false notion that his wealth is due to his own knowledge and cunningness, and not from God Almighty, Bestower of both spiritual and worldly wealth. He sings praises of his intelligence and claims that he achieved his heart’s desire through it, and his brothers were not able to amass the wealth that he was able to, even though he does not believe in the Prophets, rather he loathes them.
