HAZRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD (AS) the quality of being Mary's likeness would give birth to one who takes on the form of Jesus. In this way such a person would be referred to as 'the Son of Mary'. Thus, in Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya, I was first given the name Mary, as can be inferred from the revelation on page 241:1. That is, O Mary! Wherefrom did you attain this blessing? A revelation on page 226² also makes reference to this: That is, O Mary! Shake the trunk of the palm tree. And then on page 496 of Barahin-e- Ahmadiyya the following revelation is present: يَا مَرْيَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ نَفَخْتُ فِيْكَ مِن لَّدُلَّ رُوحَ الصِّدْقِ That is, O Mary! Enter heaven with your companions. I have breathed into you from Myself the Soul of Truth. In this revelation God has referred to me the Soul of Truth. This is a reference to the verse ³. Thus, in this instance, the soul of Jesus is metaphorically referred to as having been breathed into the womb of Mary and named the Soul of Truth. Finally on page 556 of Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya a revelation was received about the birth of that Jesus who was once in the womb of Mary.
