The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa saw the camels and donkeys branded on the faces or noses. He showed displeasure and said, "I wish people would save these animals from the punishment of branding their faces and tender areas of flesh with hot iron. Do they not realize, what retribution they would receive for it?" Then he advised them that if they have to brand the animal, then brand it on the bone near the tail, so that the animal suffers
