" 5 His own living, food, dress and beddings etc. were all very simple. He would spread his bedding on the floor and sleep. This consisted of a leather mattress stuffed with date palm leaves and fiber. 6 Once Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra folded his bedding fourfold instead of the usual two folds. When he asked about it, he was informed that the bedding was folded four times instead of the usual two, to make it more comfortable for him.
