CHAPTER 35 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 'sAmazing Humility 836 my aunt, S afiyyah ra , the daughter of Abdul Mu tt alib and O my beloved daughter, F at imah ra , I cannot save you from God's punishment at all, you yourself look after your souls. " 13 With extreme humility he advised his Companions that their actions alone would not admit them to paradise. The Companions asked in amazement, "O prophet of God, even your actions?" He replied, "Yes, if the mercy and blessings of God do not shelter me, even I cannot enter paradise. " 14 At the time of the burial of ‘Usm a n bin Ma z ‘ u n ra , an An sa r i lady, Ummul ‘Al a ’ ra emotionally said these words, "O ‘Usm a n, All a h's blessings be on you. I bear witness that All a h has honoured you. " The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa stopped her immediately and said that how she knew that All a h had honoured ‘Usm a n. "Ummul ‘Al a ’ ra replied, "O Messenger of All a h, if God would not honour such a pious person, who else would be honoured?" The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa said, "Say no more, we can only say about the deceased person that I hope All a h would bless him. And I take oath in All a h's name that I being a Messenger of God, do not know as to how I would be treated?" 15 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to say that he was an ordinary working kind of a person. He ate and drank like ordinary men. His life at home was a witness to this fact.
