" When Quraish wanted to kill Thum a mah, some of their chiefs reminded them that they needed grain from Yam a mah, so it was not advisable to make them enemies so they freed him. Thum a mah went back to Yam a mah and did stop supply of grain to Makkah which resulted in a famine. Then Quraish wrote to H u du r sa , "You claim to be mercy for mankind and enjoin kind treatment of kin, yet our supply of grain has been stopped. " H u du r sa wrote to Thum a mah to allow the caravans carrying grain to go to Makkah. He obeyed his command.
