CHAPTER 26 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's Love for his own Offspring and other Children 658 Kulth u m from Makkah. 31 At the death of his daughter Ruqayyah ra , H u du r sa gave his daughter Umme Kulth u m ra in marriage to Hadrat ‘Uthm a n ra. On this occasion he instructed his maid servant Umme Aiman ra to do his daughter's make up and take her as a bride to ‘Uthm a n ra. He also advised her to play a small tambourine in front of her. The maid servant acted as instructed. On the third day, the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa visited his daughter, Umme Kulth u m ra and enquired, "What is your opinion about your husband. " She replied that she found him the best husband. The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa said, "The fact is that he resembles your ancestor Ibr a h i m and your father Mu h ammad, the most. " 32 Hadrat Umme Kulth u m ra passed away in the ninth year of Hijrah. H u du r sa led her funeral. He sat by the side of the grave and the burial took place in his presence. He himself supervised the funeral and the burial arrangements. Hadrat Lail a Ath-Thaqafiyyah ra relates, "I was amongst the ladies who bathed Hadrat Umme Kulth u m ra on her death.
