When the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa heard this, he said, "If All a h and His Messenger do not act justly, who else would? May All a h have mercy on Moses. He was accused of a bigger crime but he showed patience. " 29 It is mentioned in another tradition, that he said, "Why would I not act justly, when the Lord of the heaven and earth had made me the custodian of His revelation. " In fact the extra reward given to the Arab chiefs was from his own one fifth share of the wealth and it became a means of their coming closer to Islam. The result was that not only did they become Muslims, their tribes also accepted Islam. The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa was the sole owner of this wealth and he said regarding the just distribution, "The persons to whom I am giving this wealth suffer weakness in their faith and greed in their nature and I am not giving to those who have been given piety and contentment of heart by God. " 30 At another time H u du r sa explained this further by saying, "I give to some people for the purpose of winning over their hearts and bringing them closer to Islam, while some other people are dearer to me. " 31 On one occasion some prisoners of war were brought to the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa. Hadrat F at imah ra requested him to give her a
