CHAPTER 20 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's good Conduct 496 "Once I had the privilege of staying with the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa as a guest. H u du r sa instructed that a leg of lamb should be roasted. He then took the knife, cut the meat and offered it to me. In the meantime, Bil a l ra said Adh a n and H u du r sa left immediately. " 8 It was the practice of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's custom that if somebody came to see him at meal time, he would without any formality, invite that person to join in the meal. Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin Anas ra relates, "On the twenty second of Rama da n I went to see H u du r sa to ask about the Night of Destiny (Lailatul Qadr). After the evening prayer I stood with him, near his doorway. He invited me in. He brought the evening meal and felt that I was not eating freely due to the meagre amount of food. He asked me, if I had come for something special. I replied, "Yes", Ab u Salmah has sent me to ask you about Lailatul Qadr. He enquired,'What date is it today'? I told him it was twenty second of Rama da n. He said, "Search for Lailatul Qadr tomorrow night, that is the night of twenty third of Rama da n.
